Investigate
The Investigate area is where you review what happened after the fact. It has three views.
Events
Section titled “Events”Motion and object-detection events, newest first. Filter by camera, event type, acknowledgement state, and time range. Acknowledge events to mark them as handled. Events can originate from motion detection or from an external object-recognition service (see Detection).
Recorded video exported from the archive as MP4 files. Request a clip by selecting a camera and time range; a background worker pulls it from Alta with ffmpeg. Each clip has a status:

| Error | Export failed (e.g. source unavailable or timed out) |
Filter the list by camera and time, then download ready clips.
Screenshots
Section titled “Screenshots”Single-frame JPEG captures, browsable and filterable the same way as clips. Useful for quick visual evidence without a full clip export.
