User Guide
The Alta VMS web interface is organized into a few groups in the left sidebar:

Settings has its own sub-navigation: Connections (Alta servers), Storages (paths and retention), Users, Notifications (delivery channels and rules), Alerts (your personal alert preferences), and About (version and diagnostics).
First steps
Section titled “First steps”After installing and logging in, bring your cameras online in this order:
- Connect an Alta server — Settings → Connections.
- Add cameras from that server’s receivers.
- Organize them into groups (optional) and grant access.
- Open Live View to watch them.
- Set up alerts so you’re notified when something changes.
